Behind the Scheme: York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

York Teaching Hospitals was introduced to Tusker through the CPC framework. Tusker was able to maximise the benefits they derived from the Framework which included moving the car scheme from their previous provider to CPC Drive.

“We were supported on every step of the journey from initial discussions, to contracting, to launch of the scheme.”

In doing this Tusker removed the savings cap imposed by the previous provider, which enabled the Trust to keep the enhanced savings now being delivered through ULEVs. This, combined with a significantly reduced risk profile as a result of events such as resignation and more streamlined administration processes, led York Teaching Hospitals to launch the scheme with CPC Drive in September 2020. The take up to date suggests a very successful scheme for the future.

Ed Pearson Technical Accountant, Financial Services – York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

“The Trust has been very pleased with the integration of CPC Drive. We were supported on every step of the journey from initial discussions, to contracting, to launch of the scheme. Regular meetings before and after launch meant that we could deal with any issues that arose quickly. The marketing is excellent and can be tailored for maximum exposure, for example hosting webinars and live Q&As. The choice of vehicles on offer is very good, and the employee protection provides greater peace of mind for employee and Trust alike than comparable schemes. Having a dedicated account manager is also a key benefit to the scheme, and the knowledge that we can reach out at any point is greatly reassuring. We are confident that this scheme will be a great benefit to staff, and will help with employee retention. I have no hesitation in recommending this scheme to other organisations. ”

Lynn Brooks – Employee of York Teaching Hospital

“l would like to express how pleased I was with the service I received from Tusker regarding my car. I was given a quote in September before we went live, as my existing lease was expiring in November. When the scheme went live I spoke to the Employee Engagement Team for advice and placed my order with one of the team. Throughout the process I was kept informed on the progress of my order and received updates via the online driver portal. I was pleased when the vehicle eventually arrived on 5th November even though this was the first day of lockdown. I am very satisfied with my car and the service I received, and would certainly recommend the scheme. ‘
