Tusker does Tough Mudder

Tusker, the Car Benefit People, are taking on an enormous challenge, for a very good cause. Tough Mudder, the 12-mile gruelling army-style obstacle course is being faced by over 60 of its staff in May in a bid to raise money for three important charities.

Having previously sent 26 of their staff to face the challenge in 2013, this time the gauntlet was laid down to the entire company and many more people have agreed to put themselves through their paces.

Featuring 20 new and more challenging obstacles across the fields of Henley on Thames, the 12 miles is dotted with pits of mud and icy-cold water, as well as high walls and the potential to be electrocuted multiple times, ensuring the team are facing their toughest challenge to date. They hope to raise over £6,000 which will be split equally between the Teenage Cancer Trust, the MS Trust and Cancer Research UK.

Leading the challenge are some of the Directors, including David Hosking, CEO, who previously did Tough Mudder in 2013. He says “Having done this before is almost worse as I know what I’m letting myself in for. No amount of training can prepare yourself for this, though I have been keeping up with the running. It really is a tough challenge, both physically and mentally, and will be a testament to the teamwork we show here at Tusker.”
